Harbor UCLA Medical Center is seeking an enthusiastic team coordinator for the new Harbor Hospital Based Violence Intervention Program (HHBVIP). Our program seeks to offer longitudinal case management to victims of violence beginning from the trauma bay and continuing into the community via a team of community health workers. We aim to improve the health of our trauma survivors and decrease injury recidivism through wrap-around services with in hospital teams and community based organizations to address social determinants of health including employment, social, mental health, legal and substance use services.

Responsibilities:

The HHBVIP program coordinator will serve a key role in the operations and management of the HHBVIP. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop trauma informed case-management plans in collaboration with our team of community health workers, clinical teams, and hospital based social workers
  • Collection and analysis of case management and research data
  • Serve as liaison between the HHBVIP, clinical teams, community based organizations, and the Department of Public health
  • Contribution to grant applications and research proposals
  • Coordinate project meetings with key collaborators

Job Specifications:

  • Masters degree in social work
  • Public health and data analysis training eg STATA/REDCAP preferred
  • Bilingual Fluency Preferred (English and Spanish)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Experience in violence intervention and/or trauma informed case management

Experience:

  • Database Management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Grant: 1 year (Preferred)

License:

  • MPH (Preferred)
  • MSW (Preferred)

Language:

  • Spanish (Preferred)
